If you don’t want to create or update your own thread, feel free to reply here with little tasks you would like to share.

HOWEVER, if you are showing progress of a long project, we suggest you create your own thread with its own updates! Otherwise, your posts will be broken up between threads every week (not good for showing history).

Reopening the store! I checked out the new headlights I got but they don’t fit for some reason! ARGH. Will need to design something to make them stick.

::adds to endless list of projects::

I’m getting a lot of orders for stuff but I don’t know how they’re getting to the store. I’m assuming this is word-of-mouth or link sharing. No one is tagging the club on social media either. I haven’t made a post on social media in a while. I prefer to spend my time here.

I’m thinking about sending a mass email out to the customers ask how they found out about parts / swag.

Been MIA for awhile. Kid’s build took a back seat while he worked most of summer. Anyhoot, he purchased some coilovers. Got those installed this week. Have to still dial in the ride height but we got them installed.

Super jealous!

I should just take a course on how to fix automotive AC. (if that event exists)

I have the gauge set at least. I bought it for the house HVAC because I wanted to determine pressures but never got around to it. I wonder whether I can use it to check the car.

If it looks like this you should be able to. What’s going on with your A/C, is it empty?

I basically followed the chrisfix video on how to vacuum and recharge the system.

it is partly due to the ac switch constantly failing. I’ve gone through 3 or 4 of them. I’ve actually been thinking about designing a new universal switch and housing because it has been so failure-prone.

That’s wacky. But as long as your actual gas loop is closed and pressurized that makes life easier

I’m assuming if I try to pull vacuum on the system and it can’t… that means there’s a hole. That in itself is probably super helpful.

Yeah, you should be able to get your system to around -27mm hg which is about as far as the cheapie autozone rental pump can go. If you can’t get it that low that means you have a small leak somewhere, and if it doesn’t get past 0 then you have a big leak.

Then you shut the valves and see if the vacuum needle drops towards zero. If it more-or-less doesn’t move for a half hour, your system should be considered sealed enough for your refrigerant to stay in there at least a year or two.

Also, don’t try to pull a vacuum if there’s pressure in there. lol.

OMG I just looked up the rental for the pump at autozone and it’s $200! I know I get it back but wow – considering the Vevor ones are $60 with more flow
