13.7 sec quarter mile @108 street tires

Hey guys i just ran a 13.7 with my car at the track the whole time the clutch was slipping all the way so my 108 mph should be a low 13 pass. Just wanted to let you guys know its actually worth it for the fun of driving a fast daily driver.

Tommy

Good job.
What do you have done to the h22?? Care to divulge the cost of the swap + all the stuff you needed to put it in? Did you do the swap yourself or did a shop. Again, !!

well it runs a consistant low 14 off the bottle and like i posted it ran a 13.7 but will go faster than that. I did everything my self at a shop i work at. The web site is www.lr-racing.com. I ended up spending about 4000 canadian with motor and standalone ecu. But if i add up everything i actually have in it and the things i got a deal on it would be around 7 or 8 k canadian. It wasn’t easy but well worth the time i put in to it.the only real trick to getting it in was figuring out axles and getting the hydraulic tranny to work with the cable tegra. but it is fairly quite simple. If you really want more details i can be reached at 1(604)552-1426 my name is Tommy i would be happy to help anyone out if they were interested in doing the swap.

I want to know how you got the prelude instrument cluster to work.

the cluster was easy and the reason i put it in is because the integra cluster does not have an elctronic speed sensor. The wiring was simple i just cross referenced the wiring and the only thing that does not work fully is the Fuel gauge and it is only off by a little bit. The sender from the tank has a little different resistance so teh gauge reads a little over 3/4 at a full tank, and i have gone over 100 k after the empty i just have not had any time to fix it because it is not a big deal.

what about all the handling hype? i for one dont believe its such an issue

All the hype about handling is crap. My car handles way better and i have felt no difference campared to a stock car. Of course i have coil overs and a complete bushing kit it make a very large difference as well.

Full urethane bushing kit? What’s your analysis on these compared to stock rubber?

Thanks,

Oz

What kind of 60 fts were you getting? Was this on slicks? TIA for your reply.

My 60 fts were crappy like 2.2 and 2.3 but i was using street tires. Yokohama paradas they suck but that say at the track they seemed to be fairly decent. And for Oz i love the bushing kit it makes the car alot more responsive, but yes you do feel everything on the road especially with coil overs. I would recomend the bushing kit to anyone it makes a big difference.

Tommy,

Thanks for the feedback. Just one more thing. How hard was the install? I am not really keen in paying someone $300CDN just for installing the kit.

Regards,

Oz

Installing the bushing kits is extremely time consuming…lots of parts needs to be removed and put back. Some parts even need a 'Press" to be removed. It very doable, even if you dont have a press…just remove the part and take it to a shop to have it pressed out and back in.

Time for me to figure out a ghetto way to do it then!

:naughty:

Hey Oz if you have an auto wrecker near you see if you can get the front and rear lower control arms and that will speed you up. All you do is get the arms and you can burn the rubber out then when it comes to installing them you just have to replace the old ones. It is such a time saver, especially when reinstallation of the bushings you don’t need a press you can just push them in by hand.the rest are really easy. good luck.
