^^ yes it does… The interior looks better than most hondas IMO. Anyways if Anything I go with TL OP I been researching for a new car too. I’m stuck between 2006 TL/ 2010 Subaru Impreza/ 2009 Fusion or just go compact suv rav4 or highlander. Have a 4runner now been running to some issues -_-.
The Mondeo (Fusion) has won TONS of awards in Europe, including Top Gear’s Car of the Year in 2007. I’m not insane about Ford either, but they have a HUUUUUGE leg up in my book for not taking taxpayer money that didn’t exist.
I believe I’ve said it before on this forum but I’ll say it again. Out of the big 3, Ford really has my respect for pulling themselves out of the hole like any good company should have to do to survive. They made the necessary changes on their own dime, not ours. I didn’t buy a new car so I know it doesn’t really make a difference on their profits but its one of the reasons I bought my Ford over the other companies comparable vehicles…also the Honda Pilot was out of my price range
Also, if the government really wanted to help, they’d allow some of AU and EU Ford vehicles to be sold over here, like the Focus RS and the Falcon XR series.
Edit:
This is AU’s equivalent to our Ford Taurus:
4.0 I6 Turbo RWD available w/ 6MT and LSD
A 5.0 V8 version is also available.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that would sell over here. :bang:
Rl/tl/tsx
Maybe not directly, but if more people do that, the preowned demand will increase, keeping resale value higher, leading to more sales of new vehicles (desirable for retaining resale value).
It’s a stretch, but a quantifiable one for sure.
I just wish there were more exciting Ford vehicles over here. Had an Edge as a loaner after an accident, and was horrendously disappointed. Buddy has a Fusion that is VERY nice, especially for the price tag. 302 is really the only stang I’d consider (since it embarrassed the M3 at the Ring while it was being tested), especially since they intend to put the 2.3L 4-cylinder from the proposed 2015 Focus RS into the base model mustang (possibly as soon as 2013) to comply with ever-stricter CAFE requirements.
Comes time to get a truck, they’ll be top on my list of test drives though.
