3'' exhaust on N/A teg

Whut up! Quick Question to anyone out there. I am building my turbo project as we speak but I am getting my exhaust put on now do to the fact there is a hole in my factory muffler. I was trying to wait untill I got these last few parts before doing it all in one shot but necessity dictates action. So the question is will a 3’’ exhaust ( no cat ,stright off header) piping all the way back effect my N/A Teg negatively, or should I be stright untill I get the turbo setup installed?

Thanks in Advance

what do you deem negatively affecting?

it won’t have any torque anymore in the midrange, and it’ll be loud as fuck.

but then, where i’m stationed that’s the dope shit to have y0.

It’ll be fine if you can stand the noise, but you have two options, put the exhaust on now and wait it out till turbo time, or deal witht he hoel in teh muffler for now and theng et ti all done at once.

slow down when you type there, big boy. :stuck_out_tongue:

love me.

HAHA

I seriously just bash my face ont eh keyboard till the words coem out. lol

i do that sometimes too, but only with certain types of posts. i think you know what i’m talkin about. :stuck_out_tongue:

haha :D:D

I have the problem of trying to type uber fast cause I think I’m l33t like that.

you guys are funny as SHIT, but I think I’m gonna thug it out with factory untill I get the rest of my parts. I had the exhaust fabricated and it now has a new home in my Living room untill I get going on this project . Thanks for the advise fellas

im in the same boat, so will a silencer help alot, or it wont really matter?

Dude as for me I had a hole from rust in my muffler I just went to Auto Zone got some of that Exhaust tape shit and it sounds like factory, I mean it was only done for a temp solution. I should be up and running here in like a month so I’m not too worried about longevity of the Auto Zone Quick Fix.

How much power are you looking at getting when you go turbo? Unless your making over 350whp your gains over a 2 1/2" exhuast is very minimal and that wouldn’t hurt your N/A setup much either. 3" is nice but its not nessesary. The difference might be all of 5hp extra with 3" over 2 1/2 with turbo under 350hp and alot more noise.

okay then, if you say so.

ok. How exactly does one “thug” something out?

Armed faggot- when you actually do something with your car then come talk. Until then just sit back with your jar of Vasoline and wish you got something worth talking about. Your bag sweat at its best.
:gay:

I would agree that 3" is not needed for anythnig below thsoe power ratings… Do I sense some hate going on? :stuck_out_tongue: :hmm:

so what if i have the silencer will it help out a lot?? or will it still b crazy loud

I have never heard of a quiet 3" for N/A. Turbo is different because of the turbo quieting down the sound. Silencers included. But its your choice. Some people can tolerate alot more then others. Check honda-tech and ask for sound clips of 3" N/A cars.

armed faggot? boy haven’t been called that before. you certainly made yourself look knowledgeable and mature there.

show me dynos where the only power loss is about 5-10 whp for a setup around 350 using a 2.5 vs. 3".

seriously show me.

I do remember seeing a few posts where tehysa di they only gained about 10-15WHP when they were running over 300WHP gonig from 2.5-3". Looknig for posts now. so many god damn posts on HT. Unless you have dynoplots or something to proove your reasonnig that you should gain more. :hugs:

innocent until proven otherwise, my brother. :stuck_out_tongue:

you know what kind of advocate i like to be sometimes.
