P28 will work with uberdata,P72 will do the same as well.
you can use your stock P61 too…
I suggest using hte P28 …
P61 ECU’s are far more rare and tend to fetch a premium when sold …
Chipped p28 should run you around 150
Use the P61 and get Crome…you can log Knock with it
CAN YOU TUNE A P61 WITH THE FREE VERSION OF CROME? Or do I need to purchase the full version?
Sorry for the yelling, I have been wondering for some time and school has been keeping me from really looking into it.
xenocron, you are my hero!!! jk, but seriously, I have a wideband, Crome, Turboedit, and now that school is FINALLY done, I have time. I want/need to learn this stuff inside and out. Id like to become familiar enough to offer a tuning service in my area. Let me know, feel free to write me a novel-like email tutoring me on crome. Keep in mind, I have done over ten swaps and have a nicely built ls vtec for myself, so I am plenty familiar with all the terminology and the entire mechanical aspect of the beautiful b-series.
thanks all for your advice, where I can get crome??
If you have a chipped p28 can you just reburn the chip for uberdata or chrome or whatever?
Yep.
Uberdata, Crome, Hondata or Neptune will all work on any USDM Honda P28 ECU
Basically you can use them on any OBD1:
P28/P30/P05/P06/P72/P61/PR3/PR4/P75 ECU
These are the Civic/Integra ECUs…they will not work on the Prelude/Accord OBD1 ECUs but you can use a Civic/Integra ECU to run your Prelude/Accord if you want…
cool…im looking for a chipped ecu for my ls/vtec and then i need to redo it when i go turbo…so i guess I will get a chipped p28 and then have the chip reburned with uberdata for my turbo setup
You need chipped, ready to go OBD1 ECUs…let me know
I do, Im looking for a chipped obd1 ecu for my ls/vtec, if you got one give me a shout cause i could use one!
interesting…was thinking about this today…didnt know if Uber/Crome did that…thanks
Crome does…and I dont think you can log knock with Uber.
The cool thing about Crome is that it has some ‘intelligent’ signal filtering as well which will supposedly help you filter out bad knock readings from the actual since the stock knock sensor is lacking.
Kinda what the J&S Safeguard does in some sort of way to make the stocker more useable and accurate…
yeah i think i will chip the P61 and give it a try…talked to Dave (leed from HMT) tonight about it, sounds awsome…
