Yea I know supercharger’s are not bad for drag racing, I did not say that. And also depending what setup you are running, Turbo Lag is a issue. You only confront the problem when at lower RPM’s. You obviously would not have spooling problem’s on the highway at 130mph because the turbo would be at it’s peak. So the time when you do have spooling problem’s are when at lower RPM’s, i.e. when excellerating from a stop. But I do agree that turbo lag is at a minumum when drag Racing because of launching at higher RPM’s, but this is depending on your setup. I deal with supercharger’s but personally still think that turbo’s are better when it comes to drag racing. I am planing to turbocharge my LS vtec in the next month or so. But it is very little difference between performance of a turbo or supercharger depending on your setup. And personally driving turbocharged car’s ar a lot funner. But good observation there.
almost all of the assumptions in this thread about sc’s vs. tc’s can be contradicted one way or another. sorry cant find a good link at the moment.
lag is actually not much of a concern with turbos with it hovering around 1 second, especially past 4000rpm where it can be almost non-existent. the term you are probably looking for is boost threshhold, where boost begins.

It’s always nice when people understand the difference between lag and boost threshold. 
Other guy: I would for sure say that the power difference is HUGE between turbocharged and supercharged cars. My mechanic has a 2000 Si with a Jackson Racing Supercharger on it, and at (I think) 10 psi, he was only making like 210whp. 10psi on a B16 with a turbo would be much closer to, if not well over) 250whp. I’d say that’s a big difference. I like your attitude by the way.
