95 LS Cams in my b18a head? Any gains?

I’m not sure if the 90-91 cams are any different from the 95 cams? Does any know anything about this? If the lift durations are different and if I would see or feel any gains if I changed the cams? Thanks

I don’t know about 95 LS cams, but I put '92 cams in my '90 and there IS a difference. The motor pulls stronger all the way to redline with maybe a touch less oomph in the sub 1300 rpm range. It’s easier to bog the car now.

I believe the 95’s are rated at 142 hp and the 90’s at 130; I’ve heard people say the difference is a combination of cams, intake manifold, exhaust design, and ECU programming.

Yeah, you will notice a little difference. It wont be a big improvement, but I would go for it anyway. The 90-91 cams are the smallest and yield the least power out of all the b-series cams.

The 92-93 integras had a 140hp rating, and you know they fit and make a difference according to 90integraGS. I would go with them unless you find out for sure about the 95s.

only worth it if u get the cams cheap & u install yourself…

If you can get them really cheap then go for it. Otherwise get a set of Crowers.

Well I bought a port and polish head from this guy in stockton . Well it was somewhat dissassembled. I put it together and two of the cam retainers are miossing. Well I haver to go pick them up, but yah. So for the time being I was just going to put the 95 cams on my b18a head cuz I know they will fit but wasn’t sure if there was a difference in the lobe durations.

As for the head, I had to get it pressure tested n crap, and no money so I’m thinkin it won’t go on the car anytime soon so changing the cams will be really easy and cheap…yah I do all the work on my car myself

i dotnknow botu the cams, but i do kno i u install the 96 integra intake manifold and the cams, u will definatly pull a lot harder, becuase the intake manifold off the 96 is straighter and air goes in better. if u want them, give me a holla… matt… i live at davis… so ya…
