My brother-in-law has a 97 Type R header and he’ll sell it to me for a $100. But Will it fit? I have a 91 RS.
someone please correct me if I am wrong. I have heard it will match to the head but the cross member will have to be notched to allow for the header and it will either be too long or too short. If you don’t buy it, give me his address. I would take it. Just to try to make it work… That 4-1 flows better than my aftermarket header…
its a 4-2-1 though…
it will bolt up fine to the engine, but to get the rest to fit you’ll have to do some modding.
cross member may need to be cut (it does for the jdm header… i’m now sure how different the usdm one is)
also you will need to have a muffler shop fit it to your cat. Some parts might not be the right length and you’ll need to modify how it all bolts together as well.
$100? Why bother? Pick up a G2 GSR manifold for a LOT cheaper and ensure a good fit and better flow than stock. Hell, I’ll sell you mine. Please don’t pay $100 for the cast iron, just because it is an ITR.
The G2 GSR header will fit a B18A? Now I am finding something new. How does it flow better? Is the design different than the B18A, or is it pipe diameter? Also, Is it also made of cast iron?

The GSR mani is actually a 4-2-1 made of cast iron. If you have a 92-3 teg, it will fit perfectly, no mods needed. Member Leftcorner has my GSR mani on his RS temporarily.
