Removing it is not fun, you will have to pull the drive pulley off to totally remove it. Well at least you will be able to change the water pump and timing belt at the same time. You will probally have to go get a new or used one somewhere.

what if i just cut it off with my dremmel??

underdrive pulley

i dont know if this is a good place to post this, but how in the world can that add to performance.

Do you have AC or PS? if you don’t have AC itz quite easy…just remove the PS belt, and itz a couple of 10 mm bolts and it will come out.

Mine has always done that too…I tried wrestling with it when I replaced my cams; but it doesn’t reshape at all. I just live with it. It doesn’t seem to be hurting anything. It’s just unsightly.

Is your’s making any sounds at all? I thought mine was causing a whirring sound; but that turned out to be a worn water pump.

You can cut it off but you leave the timing belt open to damage, you could possibly catch a rock in there which could either tear or make the belt jump, I wouldn’t recommend it.
