…without a timing gun. I just unbolted the dist while the car was on and idling and pushed the top all the way back till it wouldn’t go back any farther. I heard the RPMs go up a little. Is this bad for the car, should I get a timing gun or will it be okay. Am i losing any power?
I know this prolly doesnt help, but I did the same thing, it doesnt seem to do anything at all.
You did remember to put the jumper wire in while you were adjusting the timing, right? b/c if you didn’t put the jumper in the computer compensates for the advanced timing(it doesn’t know you are doing it)and retards it to the original setting
well i guess it doesn’t matter then…
It does matter actually…

That depends on what octane you’re using and how hot it gets in KC.
