AEM FPR has a tendency to keep getting the bottom bolt loose. THe design they have at the bottom is flawed. It seems like it’s almost impossible to keep that thing from loosening up. Today it started leaking again and I had to really tighten it hard to keep it from leaking. THis is a brand new AEM FPR used for 2 weeks. It’s crap.
AEM Cam Gears
The intake gear slipped, even after being tightened to specs. Screwed up alot of sh!t, but after tightening it down I was okay. They’re larger in diameter than stock, and will rub against stuff on b18a valve covers, especially the small plastic knob right between the two. Make sure when you take the valve cover off, cut that small round knob off, because the cam gears WILL grind against it.
B&M FP Gauge
Not a bad gauge. Works well, nice clear face, very clean. Small, and works good. I got ripped off by Import Builders, paid $40 for it when I could get it for $35 shipped from some other place.
i have AEM cam gears and have yet to have them slip on me.
i also havent hand any rubbing problems… i did cut my valve cover so i could adjust the gears (altho i always take the valve cover off to adjust them)
i have the older aem gears with the “button head cap screws” (uses the allen wrench)
i personally like the newer ones that use a regular socket to tighten them…
have u looked at those B&M Command Flow fuel pressure regulator modifiers?? they’re like $60 and look like they would work well. how to at C-Speedracing.com on the b&m FPR
I have all three of those things, and no complaints at all on any of them here.
no slippage. no leakage. good guage. did you make sure you used teflon tape on everything before tightening them down onto the fuel rail? if they are defective, i would contact AEM for a refund.

hey Tony, did you take the back part of the timing belt cover off? the plastic piece that goes behind the gears and belt thats up against the head?
i like how u mounted the FP guage on your fuel rail. i cant do that tho.
