hey everyone. I want to do Air Ride suspension on my 91 Teg GS. Ive seen kits for sale on ebay with everything, bolt on for 90-93 integras. Im thinking of ordering this kit and installing it myself. Ive helped a buddy of mine do his, its really nothing.
Does anyone have ANY advice on my idea of buying this kit. what should I watch for and what should I do. etc… etc… does anyone have air ride on their G2 teg? I need some input.
The kit comes with: 5 gallon tank, 4 air cylinders, fast valves, switch box, 100% duty cycle compressor, water trap, check valve, pressure switch, hoses and all fittings, fuses, wiring.
Check out Air Ride Technologies They have a 12 way adjustable shock with a bag. This is the best product i have seen so far. They have install pics on an Accord.
you dont fix camber with it. camber constantly changes depending on the height of your ride. since the height is always changing with air ride, you cant set camber at a permanent height. at least thats what makes sense to me anyway. Ya I heard you loose your ability to go crazy around turns and ****, but I mean come on, why do people have to shoot down air ride as if its the devil. I want to hear from someone who HAS air ride and see exactly what they say. for me, air ride is for my show integra which will be displayed at import fest this december. so I dont give a crap about handling on a show car

The degree to which camber changes are determined by suspension design. Hondas camber in when compressed. You cannot change that unless you totally change the suspension design. You can correct the camber back to stock setting, by modifying the suspension, at static height. When you deviate from static heght camber will change the same as any Honda that is lowered with a camber kit. A Volkwagen, for example, has rear suspension designed to minimze camber changes.
yep i agree air cylinders suck ,it was a 1200$ waste of money ,and only lasted 2 months.i blew an air line driving from houston to new orleans at 90mph.my tires hit the inner fender wells and stopped my car like i had pulled the emergency brake. i seriously dont suggest air suspension on a daily driver.keep it for the trailor queens.

woah is this just our cars or all systems in general? sux for those ppl
well everyone I installed the air suspension that I ordered and I think its pretty cool! it rides nicely at medium height and everything was direct bolt on. only took me a full day to install it all. I dont see what all the fuss is about air ride being bad. also, there must be reasons why your air line blew. Transport trucks use air lines for their air brakes and you dont hear of those air lines blowing. just use good fittings and air brake quality air line.

hey there… yup Ill get some pics up for you. I just got back from Import Fest in toronto. I won 5th place Integra!! woohoo!! Ill get some pics tomorrow

congrats on your win at importfest .didnt mean to come off as an ass to the people who have air rods .but i blew out the o-rings in the rods too. i just dont think they are too safe for the way i drive my car. but i hope you have better luck than i did with yours.
no problem, everyone has their own opinion about different products. My car is becoming more and more of a show car and I dont think im going to be driving it too hard anymore, so I think im safe with the air cylinders. I installed it myself too, so I know the system really well and can maintain it effectively 100% of the time.
