I am coming very close to my turbo install, and i was just checking over all of my parts. One thing i have a question about is my oil supply line. I ordered the kit from fast-turbo.com which runs the lines like the picture. I wanted to know if anyone running their lines like this has had any problems with the fittings breaking from the engine vibration. In the turbo guide it says not to run them like this, so i really need to know what to do
While I like Stan’s lines very much, and ran like that picture you have there for a while…I went and purchased this stuff.
Allows you to T off the line instead of the back of the block for extra safety.
Damn, finally a cheap alternative…
What site is that from though? hehe
That’s the entire assembly with the T off, correct?
So how long did you run your setup like that? Did you have any problems?
I think it was about 5 or 6 months and no i didnt have any problems. I did it because I wanted to run an electrical oil pressure sensor, and those things are heavy and notorious for falling (cracking) off the back of the block.
So do you think i will be alright running it the flemenco T way? I not running anything else that would be adding weight on the back of the block.
i had my oil supply line like that before for several years without any problems. however, if you were to add an electrical oil press/temp sender then i wouldn’t suggest t’ing off the block. i personally like the spin on oil filter adapters like those from GE or greddy.
Is the hole coming out of the block 1/8’’? I was just looking at my supply line kit and i think the adapter i was sent was a 3/8’’
the hole out of the block is 1/8" bspt.
i think you will be just fine…but with all the guages out there people add these days, I think and oil pressure guage is one of the more important ones to buy.
