My antenna on my 92 teg was broken, the motor ran fine but the wire didnt pull it down. I hated having an antenna always sticking up(especially so high), so I removed it and now I have a big hole there that i’d probably have to fiberglass up and repaint unless I got another antenna. I dont really want to spend the money on the same factory antenna so i was wondering if anyone had any links to places that they might have gotten one from. Im specifically looking for a small “vw” style antenna that would fit in the hole of the original antenna and actually work too. I saw at spwusa.com they had dumby “vw” style antennas for like 10$ but it would be better if they actually worked. :eek:
you coulda just bought a new mast for it…
new masts are @ $60. just about any aftermarket ant. will fit into the hole after you take out the power assembly. and i wouldn’t recommend buying used. i did and the bstard has impercible bends in it and wont retract all the way, so i just manually put it down and disconnected the remote, so it always stays down. hey, at least it looks good

Try fitting an S2000 one on if your set on getting a “little one”.
My opinion is F**K antenna’s too. At almost any NAPA or similar outfit, they sell these antennas that are just a wire inside a roll of scotch tape.
Plug it in your Stereo
Run the tape up the side of your Windsheild.
Done.
I have it and I get perfect reception. Mine is made by Rally I think. Went for about $25- $30.
I got a bunch of stuff including:
The “tape” antenna
An antenna Signal Splitter (for dual inputs)
an extension for an antenna wire (doing the s2000 mod)
All at Radio Shack for under $10.00 US.
Can’t beat that.
Now, finding these #10 couplings and such… That’s been a problem. When I figure mine out, I’ll post NEW instructions.

Sounds like a good solution but he will still have the hole from his last antenna. I got the same problem and I bought an after-market electric one, cost me about 45$.
I left the old antenna in, when ever my car gets in to the body shop it will then be shaved.
