Anyone running 185/65/14 and slammed?

Anyone running 185/65/14 tires on their steelies and is also slammed? If so, are you guys rubbing?

I have a chance to get some pretty decent 185/65/14 tires for cheap but since I’m slammed, I’m afraid they might rub…

Anyone have this setup and pics? Thanks

At this height my 195-60-14 rubbed And you have 195-65. Your shit will be jacked up against the plastic liner

Yeah but I was actually asking about 185/65/14 not 195. Maybe I won’t rub since it’s less wide than the 195’s… I don’t know…

I’m talking about how tall the tires are hitting the plastic. The width is fine. 195-60-14 is the stock tire size.

Oh haha my bad… guess I wasn’t thinking. Sucks cuz I found some bmw bottlecaps with 185/65/14 tires on them for a good price. I don;t want to spend more money changing tires… oh well… thanks for the quick reply yo

Sorry to thread jack but hb420 what lip is that?

You should be fine with that tire size, although I have no idea why you’d want to run that size…

mathematically speaking the 185-65 is going to have only a 3mm larger radius and i don’t see that being a rubbing issue. Plus, usually when you rub it’s because your tires are wide or have wheels of a strange offset.

I ran 195-55-15’s on my car (same overall diameter as 185-65-14) when it was lowered 3-3.5" and had no rubbing issues whatsoever.

My bbs wheels with 195-55-15 tires rubbed at that height to.

It’s all about offset… well, and wheel width and then tire size too

With the stock wheels he’ll be fine. As long as he’s not rubbing now he shouldn’t be with those different tires. But again, why the hell would you buy that size tire

Because i got them for $100 with tires:ohyeah:

I was referring to the tires he is going to get (185-65-14)

here you go i hope this helps . lower with tein springs

Colin, reason I asked about the size is because I was planning to buy some rims that already has that size on there that’s why I was kinda hestitant to buy it since I might rub.

I wouldn’t want to buy that size tires anyways but since it came with the rims, I have no choice… so I was curious. Thanks for all the replies so far…

I’ve got 195s on my car, rubs like hell.
I’ve raised the car because it was too low for daily driving.

This is a completely useless statement. Without the rest of the tire size information “195” means NOTHING.

That’s funny cuz I used to run 195/60/14 on my steelies and I’m slammed and have no problems with rubbing.

Well maybe you’re super duper slammed and with crazy offset rims then that’s another story…

195/65R14

I’m running 195/60/15’s and i don’t rub
