Hey guys,
Im having a 3" DP built for my teg but im really worried about the clearance between the DP, and front cross member. I had a 2.5" last season, and it was pretty damn tight getting it in there. I figure the new 3" can fit with some modding/notching to the cross member.
Any of you guys running a 3" DP? If so how did you get around the front cross member?

u have to cut part of it to make it fit, or get traction bars, l-cons are only $299 i would recommend after market traction bars
L-Cons doesn’t make traction bars for the DA, well not anymore atleast. Louie made a few but people were complaining about the price. Last I heard he was charging $525 for DA bars because they are more work to make. He said he won’t one off’s, and will wait for now. My only choice really would be the Full-Race traction bars.

I bought the full-race traction bar to get rid of the damn oem cross member. I run 3" DP. Could fit any size I wanted really. Few pics:

i have done several 3in dp’s with the stock crossmember. Allan(nosintegra92) should be able to show you the pics of how i did his. You have to notch and reinforce the crossmember which isnt really hard, but time consuming to do properly. Alot of time i notch it and trim the little nub on the front of the block abouve the oil pan for extra celarance.

get your facts straight first, i talked to him today he is going to make me one for $325, full race are nice but expensive but its up to you

are you running a 3 inch downpipe with the transmission motor mount their? is so can i see a pic
Yes I am running 3". I can easily fit 4" or maybe even 5" I bet. And yeah I’m still running the front tranny mount. I will take piictures tonight hopefully! 
Just repost and remind me incase you haven’t heard from me in a day or two.

ah but you have a top mount manifold thats y u have so much space, i dont think i will have enough space if i get the traction bar that hold the tranny

Well even with a standard setup, you have more then enoguh room to run a 3" downpipe I assure you.

ive got a 3 inch down pipe in there no problem also. barely notched the frton x member… all u gotta do is make sure u g past the x mamber where the stock header did only… too many pl try to do is ac style with the down pipe coming off turbo towards ac compressor, that is harder… ive got a lavefab cast side winder, 3 inch no problem. infact the 3 inch fit with out notching, but i didnt like it vibratin it n stuff

That looks great man. I see how the xmember was notched in one of the pics. Hope mine turns out as nice, and not too much notching will be needed.

he told me the same thing yet other comapnies selling them for $299 thats weird and i was willing to pick up but he said 325 too, how much did you get your z10 bars for? and where at?
hell if i could get em for 325 id take em!
