WOndering if you guys know of ny good Alarm/Starter kits for a 5speed.
I found one, but it looks cheap…
I would advise against getting a remote start for a manual. If you accidentally leave your car in gear, the car will jump forward when you start it. It happened at a meet and damaged 2 cars.
This Kit that I’m looking atm requires you to put the car in Nuetral and Arm the autostart. If anything is touched the autostart will be disarmed.
This seems like a fairly failsafe system, if I forget to put it in Neutral I’ll probably also forget to arm the autostart.
p.s. what are you paying for hosting and bandwidth? I run a web server and I’ll get you a nice deal…let me know
yeah, i have it in my manual, and i’ve had my car roll down the street once! (i wasn’t the last one driving) it’s just fun freaking people out once in a while.

mine’s part of my alarm. i have a clifford matrix rs2 alarm.
I looked up your alarm system, it says for auto tranny’s only.
I guess this just means it doesn;t come with the safety features the Logic one comes with(i.e. car must be in neutral to arm, if taken out of nuetral autostart will disarm)
do you tie a string to your finger or what? 
yeah, i just bypassed the neutral safety switch. i don’t use the autostart as much as i used to since i saw my car hop down the street! :shock:

Does anyone have any experiance with the Logix car starter/alarm?
I have the compustar alarm/starter combo. I got it from a&b sound. It is great. There is a fail safe. You have to go through a sequence to enable it to start by the remote. While in the car with doors closed, you have to put it in neutral and arm the parking brake. Then take the key out of the ignition and the car will still run. Once you open the door and get out, all doors have to be closed before it will shut off. Then you are set. Very easy to do. Just common sense. It will never start if it is in gear or the parking break is down.
Great system. I recommend it!

about the starter system, what did the entire set up run you? with installation? is it easy enough to install myself?
I just called them up, they want $450 for the system,
they don’t have the cheaper one without the pager, but it would be pretty damn sweet to have that pager. Good luck towin my ride…
And they want $240 for the installation, is this similar to what you paid?
I paid $750 with install and gst. I have the one with the pager, and had it wired to my power locks. It si a pretty sweet alarm/starter. But it took them forever to install. I don’t recommend installing your self. Where abouts do you live in edmonton? I live on the north-east side.
