Are the oil pan from a B16A interchangeable into a B18A/B?
I think it will fit just fine. I know the b18c1/5 oil pans fit the b18a/b blocks so I would say most likely yes…but don’t go buying it till someone else backs me up.
I have a B17 oilpan in the trunk with a B18 oilpan gasket, I’ll check tomorrow morning and post unless someone beats me to it.
i was under the impression that all b-series oil pans were interchangeable?
i know the b16a, b17a, b18c oil pans are for sure… if nexidus is correct about the b18c/b18a-b, then it should work.
well it’s not gonna really cost me anything to get the oil pan, 'cept paying for a new gasket.
A friend of mine is swapping out a b16 that a kid threw the rod and burned the piston in and the oil pan is in better shape then mine. My oil pan has been re threaded and is bigger then stock drain plug an semi leaks.
Aight I’m gonna put the pan on and see what happens.
Thanks for all the input.
I just replaced the gasket, I put the B18A gasket onto the B17 oilpan and am using that now.
So to answer the question, the B-Series oilpans are all the same.
HTH.

Funny thing, the oilpan I used was a B17A oilpan that had been tapped for turbo so it has a oil retun spout, I had to plug the hole, but I didn’t want to fill it incase I wanted to use it for turbo later on, so I JB Welded a nickle over the end… ![]()
