I did a search for this, but only found one post with no replies. First off, I like my auto tranny, and want to keep it. Second, I was wondering if anyone has done, or knows of a b16a with an auto tranny? It should work right??? Any advice will be appreciated.

yeah, it will work just fine. but it won’t be very fun. Auto trannies (no matter how much hp) are just no fun at all. Especially since the b16a is low on torque. Small amounts of torque + auto tranny = LAME!
if you’re smart you’ll deal w/ getting rid of that auto tranny before you even bother w/ spending any money on a swap. Auto trannies really are lame. Drive a 5spd for awhile…you’ll love it. A few guys here have done the auto to 5spd swap and LOVE it. IMO its definitely worth it.

I have a b16a2, automatic, and it is so slow as balls, not worth it, just do the manual swap while your at it b/c if not you will regret it b/c iknow i do.
