well i have a 92 ls and i might be getting a gsr swap for decent price and was wondering if the swap is as simple as dropping it in and wireing some stuff up or do i have to make new mounts or get new mounts…also i plan on using my ls tranny cause its a cable tranny and i dont wanna convert to hydro…also i’m not sure if the gsr motor is obd1 or 2 so i dont know if i have to wire any additional o2 sensors or crap like that…and in the future i plan on goin turbo so and info is appreciated…thanks

all b-series engines bolt right into our cars. check the swap guide for specific info regarding your year of car and type of engine you wanna put in.
yeah i realized after i posted that i should have read the teg tips and they are helpful but i would still like to know of some first hand experiences with the swap
well as far as the engine goes you’ll be basic bolt-in no problems. you’ll want to make sure you have OBD-I injectors to use with your wiring harness and also an OBD-I distributor…as well as get an OBD-I ecu, and you’ll need to make sure it’s a p72 so that you can have it control the secondary intake butterflies for VTEC. make sure you have a cable close-ratio tranny, and you’re good to go. wiring is plug and play, with the exception of 3 or 4 wires you have to run yourself which is no big deal, takes about 15 minutes or so (run the wires BEFORE you put the engine in, makes it a lil easier ;))…hopefully this has helped some. if you have other questions feel free to email me at zoomintegra@mail.streetracing.org or boneman@iastate.edu and i’ll help as much as i can. ![]()
