if you meant honda’s largest four cylinder, the non vtec plredude engine was 2.3L and the new crv engine is 2.4L

Nono, i said if the piping was 2.5", the engine SHOULD be 2.5 liters according to that guys post… What i said was “I thought the ITR was 2.5”, i didnt mean 2.5 liters, i meant 2.5" piping! I kno the itr is 1.8, duh. You guys should thought asbout it more b4 assuming i meant 2.5L

NC-B17A is right, any back pressure at all is bad, but you also want high exhaust gas velocity. 2.25" piping is recommended for up to 210 horses at the crank. So unless you’re spraying or boosting, get 2.25."
Anyone know of a site that lists the diameters of popular exhaust systems? Can’t seem to find that info anywhere. They usually only list the diameter of the tip.
anyoen know if you can use a glasspack for a real muffler, instead of just a resonator. i have a glasspack as a resonator, but i wonder if i could add another and take off my cheezy rize muffler (painted black of course) ----would this hinder performance or what. gracias.

Ever see the exhaust on a 600cc motorcycle? It’s not as small as you would think because those things rev to the sky.
does this apply to intake as well? i think im gonna try putting my stock back in… just leave the resonator out.
and i was also thinking about just a muffler. should i stay stock or get something with a silencer? n1? racing medallion? obx? my priority would be low end torque, although i do miss the rumble =P
only suspension mods, no future motorwork planned.

I have a glass pack as my only muffler, it sounds like **** at certain RPM’s and sounds great at others. I think it sounds best when cruising @ 4000 rpm. Anyways you can hear my car here: http://3dvertigo.com/file/civicsi.mpg
