Ok my problem is my battery, Im not sure whats wrong with it, it starts up fine most of the time but if i leave my lights on or something even for like only 20 mins the battery dies and wont start again. but if i get a boost it starts right away but when i turn it off it wont start again. if i charge it there is no problem it starts fine. i also had my charging system checked at the mechanic and it showed up fine. Any suggestions?? Thanx
sounds like the alternator isnt charging the battery to me. try starting the car, then disconnect the negative and see if the car still runs. if it is, its not hte alternator. if it cuts off, its the alternator and/or a bad connection
Ok i did that and my car cut off after i took of the negative cable. How could i check for a bad connection?
Also do you have any idea of how much a new alternator would be??
