Does the 92 tegs have a beep when the driver door is open and the key is not in the ingnition? Mine does, and its annoying as hell!!! How do you disconnect it if it’s not supposed to. Or do I have something wrong. I just bought the car and it does it when I first open the driver door, not the passenger, just the driver. HELP!!
my 91 teg has it but only when the key is in… so one sunday i was sitting in my car talking to a friend…well i discovered this trick. Find the black “switch-thingy” in which is pushed in on the door jam…near your paint code. Pull it back, not all the way, then just kinda “shoot it” or let it spring back forward… give it a few tries…it worked for me

Are you sure your lights weren’t on?? Check the switch on the door jamb. Take it out and clean the points where the metal pieces make contact with each other, just go over it with a wire brush or some steel wool and see what that does.
My lights weren’t on, and I just tried cleaning the door switch. It still does it. I’m wondering if replacing the switch all together will do the trick. Shouldn’t cost any more than a few bucks right? It’s not the fast beep when the lights are on, its the slower beep like when you first put the key in the ignition, except it does it with the key not in the ignition.

Beeping door
I had the same problem I checked all the fuses, and some of the were burnt out. So i replaced ti and now it doesn’t beep when the door is open, just when lights are on or key is in the ignition. It was annoying trying to fix stuff, with that damn beeping.
