What’s the biggest turbo that would fit in our tegs?
I wouldnt go bigger then T3/4
care to elaborate? hehe i know that the bigger you go the more time to spin up, but are there any other reasons, was just wondering bout this, most do use the t3/t4. Just wondering if more could fit, and if its beneficial, i see monsters with like twin turbos, that would be interesting to see in a teg if it could be fitted
Anything can be done but, do you have the money? and is it worth it?
The issue isn’t going to be physically fitting the turbo inside, it’s going to be an issue of correct application. I’m sure with enough effort you could get a T88 on a Teg engine, the problem is going to be spooling it. When choosing a Turbo, A/R ratio’s have to be observed. Basically, using an A/R ratio chart will tell you the appropriate size you will want to use, which is determined my engine displacement. Typically, 1.6 - 1.8 liter engines are best suited for a T3 Turbine. By mating a T3 Turbine to a T4 Compressor(commonly known as the hybrid) high end power output is increased without sacrificing low end responsiveness common with a bigger turbo. HTH.
A nice T88 for ya…

holy ish! that looks huge!
In this month’s issue of Turbo Magazine, they showcase a gen 3 integra that has 4000 horses and uses 2 turbos i think. Its a Funny Car and runs off of methane I think. I saw it today in my buddies magazine but as you can see I dont know much about it. I just thought it was cool to get 4000 hp out of a 4 cylinder.

too bad the engine isnt even a honda.
when my daily driven turbo motor with a t3t4 turbo is finished, the only plans i have as far as a bigger turbo is when i make it a trailor bitch, i plan to put a T06E on it and spray it with a 150 shot
but i woudnt got much larger than a t3t4 for everyday use

ok people… its not even a honda motor. its a 4.8L 4 cyl.
Yeah, really, I saw that issue, and it’s more like a domestic motor that’s all custom, in a Integra looking shell.
I’ve seen an Integra with a T4 Turbo, which is a very large turbo.
It takes a while to spool, but when it does…
i have seen a dyno sheet of a guy with a t3-61 garret on a b18a stock motor with hondata pull just under 300hp… if u go to honda-tach.com and serch im sure u can find it… or just ask around…
if u want to make some realy nice power without goin to big huge turbo, look at persion turbo’s, they are pricey but make nice power
lemme just state that anything is possible these days.

that would be shami’s car. built by her and her b/f (who is also my boss) St00pid. I’m sure most of ya’ll have heard of him. Anyways, the turbo we run most of the time is a Garret T3/60-1 with the stage 5 wheels and a .63 compressor housing. We sell the turbo for 850. It’s good for about 27psi of boost, and around 460-470hp. It’s smaller than a T3/t04 but spools faster and makes more power with each psi of boost.
New plans call for a T66 w/ a GSR motor going into my DA. Should happen by then end of the year. We’re shooting for worlds fastest DA integra. Shouldn’t be too hard. I’ll be putting down about 900hp on race gas (methanol). Stay tuned for the setup details, as the project progresses I’ll keep everyone updated.
Like what was said ealier… fittment isnt really the issue. There is a guy here in tulsa with a del sol that has a giant turbo sticking out of the hood… he cut it to fit:shrug:
this has probably been asked before, but any idea what the maximum boost of a t25 or 14G turbo can produce?
i bet you could make a turbo from a semi to fit :), just have a little sidecar thing for it to sit on, lol
im retarded:(
