Is the DNX exhaust any good? How is the sound/performance? My stock muffler bit the dust today, and was considering getting the DNX axle back system (since i can’t afford the full cat-back because I’m getting the teg re-painted black).
i have DNX exhaust. i got the dtm dual tips and cut the upward ends off. it sounds really deep, its awesome for the price. and it fit perfect. go black tegs!!! im not sure if you can see my exhaust in the pic(look at blackturtle couple pages back in black tegs). and Circit 8’s are the shit i painted mine Mercedes bronze off a 2005. and made my own caps.
Nice man, looks awesome!
I went in today and inquired about the DNX exact fit muffler, and the place quoted me $800CDN! I nearly shit my pants! They did hook me up with a Dynamax Ultraflo SS muffler and custom piping and tip for FAR less than the DNX muffler. It looks alright, sounds a little deeper, though not much louder than stock. But at this point, its nice to have a muffler on my car again. I’ll have to post some pics soon. Thanks for your input man.
i kinda like the all red tails how did you do that?
Its Just Anodized Red Translucent Spray Paint.
now that right there is a pic of a teg that looks nice with halos!
well done! car looks great!
Eh…I don’t know. I like the all black theme but I like the Teg above it way better
Jiff128 —Hey I got the axleback muffler from summitracing it was about 270 after taxes I think and you can get the mid pipes for 116.88 so the whole exhaust from the cat back would be about 390 give or take. I like the sound not to loud but a good low rumble when you give it some gas and I like the look of it too. Not a big fan of the cannister ones or whatever they are called. I just don’t like the way it looks coming out of the back of the bumper.

This is the one I got and this is the link to the mid-pipes. http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=egnsearch.asp&N=115&Ntk=P_SKU&Ntt=WLK-38203
Nice! I already got an axle back assembly (mostly custom work with a Dynomax muffler) since i needed to get it done ASAP (driving with no muffler attached is a bit loud…), but i’ll definately look into getting the mid pipes, thats a pretty good deal. Thanks man
^^^looking good P ^^^
I miss my black teg
My 92 before the thousands of tennis ball sized hail that hit her last night. :argh:
daddio what happened dude!??! tennis balls??! :werd:
:bigread: He said “tennis ball sized hail”
Sorry about your car. What all got messed up? Is anything going to be covered by your insurance?
I just saw that smiley and was looking for a place to use it…
I tried to take pics of the dents on the hood (which was only 5 mo. old) and roof which took the brunt of the damage but you couldn’t see them in the picture. You could, however, easily see the damage to my side mirror. That should give you an idea of the kind of velocity these hail balls had coming in. My vinyl siding on the house looks like swiss cheese. Finally, a day I’m glad to be renting again. Anyway, insurance will cover the damage to the car hopefully.
