while i was putting my car back together i was bolting on my headers to the head. well i torqued one of the bolts and it broke off. i was wondering do u think i can live with out replacing it? will it seal probably?

you can probably live without it, but i’m kinda anal about those types of things and i wouldn’t be able to sleep unless i got it fixed. my engine had 168k miles on it before it was modded, so when i was putting on my headers, i had 3 bolts break on me!!! :shock: i had to take my car to the mechanic to get new bolts in because i didn’t have the tools to do so myself. it’s your call, but i’d replace the bolts.
man im just going to live with out it untill i get new headers. if it leaks then im going to get a new one but thanks
just wondering, i am at this stage too 171k on my rebuild. you can just use ez outs right? if it breaks??? i prepare for the worst.

cspeed: how much did it cost to have the bolts put back in?
i’ve got a b17a engine i’m trying to sell, but one of the exhaust manifold studs busted off. I’d just like to know an approx price of how much it’ll cost to fix, that way i can inform the potential buyers.
