Well, i dropped my car off to get tuned a couple of days ago. I got a call yesterday from the people saying that my car is boost creeping really bad. My setup consist of:
Sfp mainfold
Tial 38mm wastegate
T3/T4 .60 .63
2.5 inch open downpipe
1.25 inch dump tube
The tuners seem to think that it is the dump tube that i made. I made it out of some stainless stell flex hose, and i had to bend it a couple of times to get it the way i wanted. They say it is too restrictive. I guess it is a combination of that and the open downpipe. What do you guys think?
tuned at l’orange automotive(www.tunedbylorange.com) in Niceville, florida. Im using a walbro fuel pump, rc 550’s, and Hondata(No comments). Im not sure what map they used, but i will post all of the sheets i get next week. Car was street tuned at 10-11 psi on a stock b18a, will be fined tuned on dyno monday.
I think how its funny that when the DIY stuff first came out, people used to put that “no comments” caveat by it…now its people putting no comments about Hondata
The only reason i did that is because i dont want someone to say, “Why didnt you go with uberdata?”. Im so sick of these arguments about uberdata or turboedit vs. hondata.
In the end it doesn’t matter what costs less or mroe or what is better or worse. It’s all personal preference. Good to see they fixed the boost creep tho. I was gonna say 1.25" is kidna small especialyl if the dump is long. I usually use ATLEAST 1.5" ID piping
