The really worst part is that diesel trucks and 18-wheelers have absolutely NO standards of emmisions.
Guys, don’t get too confused with diesel engines in general. Visit www.tdiclub.com and you’ll see how far diesel engines have come both in technology and emissions in passenger cars. As for rigs, I cannot comment.
[b]If passenger cars can’t be on the road without passing their state inspections then so shouldn’t rigs.
How are the streets going to be maintained without any funding?

You obviously haven’t seen/been to Quebec
How will we drive our cars when gasoline usage gets a ban by the government due to polutants?
Hehehe…you really think the government will ban petroleum? Do you not read the pie chart labeled on gas pumps that tell you nearly 50% of the gas price goes to government? Do you think the government REALLY (and I mean truly) cares about pollutants and the environment?
Do you really think auto manufacturers care about the environment since they demanded oil companies to produce 5W20 oils (which in theory lowers fuel consumption - increases fuel economy)?
:tsk:
