ok update i painted needles different color to compare orange was paint pen which is neon orange rest of it was testors scale model paint i like the orange ones but my paint job look like shit im gonna try mask it and spray it

id be willing to ship and pay to have my cluster modded for a brighter future.
Could you possibly tell me a step by step how to do it?
i would but i lost our phone only camera we had lol i dont mind re-do the pictures
soldered up the led to blub socket i used 2 males connectors cut the half off of both connectors
slide the led through the socket hole like so
then wrap the led inside the cluster with glue ur choice i used hot glue
then i used some alcohol on the back of cluster face (be careful dont let any alcohol get on the front face)

ya they would be awesome but they didnt so i did lol im doing retrofit someday too make this 91 amazing haha

Did you pull the needles off your gauges to paint them? I pulled the speedo and tach off mine no problem, but the fuel and temp won’t budge and I don’t want to break them.

Did you clean the back of the fuel and temp guages with alcohol or sand them or left them be?

and nope, i didnt have to take needles off. I’d rather not lol yea i poured alcohol on sanding paper carefully between them, had my girl hold the gauges while i was sanding with 2 hands.
