Broken part off of distributor cap

So I went to take off my distributor cap today to see if it needed to be replaced because my car was idling improperly before it completely died. I went to take off the cap and this broke off the cap, pictures are attached, so can anyone tell me what this part is and whether it comes with a new cap? Thank you

yes it does come with a new cap. When i was dumb and neutral dropped my car from 7k rpms, my shit got all fuked up and wouldnt even run, well come to find out that was broken along with the rotor.
