buddy club racing spec quick shifter

does any one know how it feels? is it short but still somewhat smooth?

its a legitimate question, i fail to see the “dumbness” in it. he may be somewhat new, but then again, so are you. please leave the Honda-Tech-esque replies over at HT.

a legit answer, honestly i don’t know. i’ve never read anything about it. i’ve read that the best route to go, is with ITR Shift Linkage and Stock ITR shifter. smooth, gated shifting, while retaining OEM parts.

personally, i’m using stock linkage with a B&M “Edge” Shifter, like the one used in the Teg Tips article, and it feels fine to me. though when i get around to it, i’ll be going with the ITR Linkage/Shifter setup, as i drove a DA a couple weeks ago with that setup and it was such a nice feel.

my $.02

you said you drove a da with that set up a few weeks ago but how much different/better did it feel? im interested in this mod, but i doubt i would put a short shifter on.

:bowthank:

there was no “gear slop” as some call it, as in, the shifter didn’t wobble much (if any) while it was in gear. if you attempted to wiggle the shifter while it was in gear, it had maybe a 1/4" of “play”, IF THAT. it was very smooth in between gears, and “spirited shifting” seemed to be a little easier. this is probably the ultimate daily setup, and can be used to bang the gears at the track if you want it to.

this is a comparison to what i’m accustomed to driving, which is my B&M on stock linkage.

if you are interested in getting one, email me. i’ll sell you mine, brand new for a good price.

imo skunk2 dual bend +dc linkage is the best shortshifter feeling

i have the b&m duel bend with prothane stabilizer bar bushings and stock linkage. i still have about a 1" play from side to side however. when i check my shifter linkage however, theres no slop in the joints, it seems to be coming from inside the transmission. im not sure if this is the slop the old linkage has. is this what the dc linkage fixes?

dc makes linkages? or am i missing something?

EDIT: you’re talkin about DC2 Integra Linkages???
