I appreciate that Jose, thank you! Some day I’d like to make it down there just to meet up with all you socal g2 guys. Maybe when my car is finally done I’ll make down for one of the bigger meets!
What’s up man? I still have the DC header badge. I can’t remember if it came off a 90-91 or 92-93 header. I want to say 90-91 but its been too long. I wonder if the #s arent the same though and the design just differed? I think you can read the carb # in the picture, maybe we’ll be able to cross reference it.
Thanks for the clarification guys! I assumed that would be the case since my greddy header shares the same # as other years and even different makes and models. More than likely he just wants it for either an unbranded header, or an un-carb approved DC header. That’s what I intended to use it for and in that case if it gets looked at closely it would cause a problem anyway. It would deter the average uninformed cop anyway since all they usually look for is a carb #.
Yup, I had one welded onto my Toda replica. But now it needs to be coated because you can see the difference between the stainless header and mild steel CARB badge.
that’s the same thing I did with mines. Got the plate welded on to my old 4-1 ebay headers with 2.5 collector and took it to the ref station to get my hatch bard. of course I had to paint the header silver to hide the “new” welds and blend with the rest of the header. The guy ran the number and it match the year of the engine. I passed inspection.
yea no more Sacramental for me lol… I am near Chico now-and-then, I have a buddy that lives in Paradise. Didn’t email you… I may be interested in the lights and brake pipes though if I drive over.
I may actually go that route with my bnib greddy since I have a carb plate from another greddy header and my bnib one came without the carb plate. Interesting that even the referee didn’t catch it.
