Those places you find on craigslist often sell really cheap hoods. They might be marketed as Seibon or VIS but often are not. If your focus is price, then go for one of those, if your focus is quality, then buy from a reputable retailer.
good point… Not sure on this place they advertise the hood to have the VIS badges etc.
Might drive up to validate their claim and snap pics if I’m allowed to to get the authenticity verified before spending the $$$ myself, allthough a newly developed chip in 3rd gear may relegate my spare funds to a transmission to be ready for when the current one gives out.
they do link back to the VIS website which I would imagine could get em into hot water if they were not above board though.
