How difficult is it to swap the cams out? I called some local performance places and the cheapest is $220. So im thinkin i can do this myself. I’ve got the 404s in there right now and need to take them out and put the stocks back in. What is the most difficult part of the exchange?? the timing belt? any advice would be helpful.

Even though this talks about a VTEC engine, the basics are the same. Just find out what your torque settings should be and you can follow the link above as a guide.
From my experiance, swapping just the cams is easy. Its when you get into changing the springs and retainers that it gets complicated.
man cam swap is so easy. u can do it in 1 hour or more it matters if u know what u are doing. but i put my 403’s in about an hour and that iwas my first time doing it. just make sure your timing is set up right. but why u taking out your 404’s?

Yeah Yeah, that was me…I’ve got the rota slipstreams. I can’t wait for boost, I should start installing it maybe by the end of the month.
