will it work? i found one in a local junk yard, they want 150 for it.what should i grab from it when i take it out?there is also a turbo from a datson which one would be better? thanks

doesnt, the turbo just suck the air from the motor,its not powered by desiel, can you tell me why it wouldnt work…what about a datsun turbo z?

No 5hit turbos are not powered by fuel, they’re powered by exhaust gases. Diesel motors create lower exhaust pressures than a typical gasoline engine, that’s why there are diesel specific turbo components.
The datsun turbo was designed and manufactured in the early 1980’s and a lot has changed in that time. The Datsun Z’s were also 6-cyl (280ZX was I6 and the 300ZX was V6) and would not be a good match for your engine.
just spend like $250 and buy yourself a used turbo off of something you KNOW will work. Dont go raping parts off of misc cars and trucks because they’re cheap.
