My car wouldn’t start yesterday everythinhg sounded fine but it just wouldn’t start, I disconnected the battery last night and it started up no problem today. One thing I should tell you guys is that I striped the drain plug, so it leaks alot but I check the oil before starting it. So has anyone had this problem??? Oh its a 91 RS with 138,xxx miles on it and does anyone in S. FL know where I can pick a oil pan for cheap new or used
And if any of you S FL tegger want to swing by and take a look or just hang give me a call at 954-662-1249 my name is RON
get battery tested? do ghetto alternator test, else its the starter? then maybe distributor. might wanna stop by pep boys and pickup or just look the troubleshooting section of the haynes manual
this happened to me b4…it sounded fien cranking but didnt start…what i did was check to see if the spark plug wire were arcing ( create a spark )…and i found that they werent so i checked the cap and rotor inside the distributor and i found that the rotor and electrode inside the cap were really coroded…i cleaned the connections and it started fine…i also replaced the cap just so it’ll be fine more many more miles
