car runs then shuts off and won't start

i have a problem…my car is down @ first state moto and to make this to the point my car will start and after a few mins it cuts off… they hav no idea what it could be so i wanted to throw my ideas out to you guys and maybe one of you have had the same problem

my guess is the shiity piggyback that i have …called smt6 made by perfect power…they have a website…google it

my ign system…it’s stock and they have already replaced my dist

or maybe my injectors (there stock) …

i need input…car must be ready by the end of this month so give me ideas

AL, you just have one of those kinda cars, we had it running perfectly and closed the hood, then it died. Ouch…

The car has perfect compression/leakdown #'s, has spark and fuel and throws no codes. The problem is, it acts so random, rarely ever a similar issue. We are gonna throw a stock PR4 in there and see what she does. I have seen alot of wierd problems with cars, but this is up there with the best of em  Car also has good fuel pressure, fresh plugs, and a beat turbo :frowning:

josh this wasn’t for u to reply to…lol i was wondering if any other peeps had something to this effect…i know the turbo’s beat…u can replace it with that t3/t4 u was telling me about…i think it’s the piggyback thats in there…now i here evans has a 2 month backup so what the options for management…if we could do something till i becomes free then fine…

OBD0 - TurboEdit
OBD1 - Crome

You might have a short somewhere…blowing any fuses?

that sounds similar to a problem i was having. i found out it was my piece of shit afc.

fuel pump is dying… i had this problem on an old olds… same damn symptoms… because when you first put ignition in number two position the fuel pump preps the lines.

After it runs pumps not working… once the fuel in the lines is gone you are done.

Alsom maybe the main fuel relay. Josh, did you check that?

Problem Solved! The fuel pump and relay had been checked and are operating properly. Swapped in a chipped p28 and the car purred like a kitten. We are now gonna put a fresh turbo on there and make a sweet 3in downpipe and give the car the setup it shoulda had originally  If the budget permits, im gonna try and talk you into lettin us tig up some fresh aluminum IC piping

Also, I have some good pull with Jeff, ill get you in there ASAP. If it is still to long I def. suggest you contact Chris (xenocron) for Crome.
