checked plugs after a few WOT runs

i checked my zex plugs a little bit ago i dont have my camera right now but i will post pics soon. the very bottom of the threads were black (not the threads but under them) and a little of the ground straps are black too. Most of the ground stap color is metal but just duller but not rainbowy. Its hard to explain but ill get a pic soon.

Whats the question?

:hmm:

want to know if they look ok. here is a link to H-T with the pics

wow, i just saw this post, and ya… i have the same setup (nitrous wise) and i have been using NGKs and my narrow band asnt once dipped into the lean area, only in the stoich, so ya that is a good A/F

I wouldn’t trust a narrowband. Get a $300 wideband and save your $2000+ setup…

stoich is 14.7 when spraying I recomend richer than 12:1.

well how would i accomplish this? getting it to run richer when spraying but normal when not. i have a SAFC but dont know how far i can adjust it till the computer starts fighting me. I need to get a wideband but i also need a new clutch and pay off my dad for a loan he gave me

true… i mean that my narrow band is like 2 lights from stoich, so hopefully that is 13.9 or richer… cause i heard for all-motor that is the best A/F ratio, i mean i could be wrong, but hopefully i have a bad conection or the gauge is wrong or something, my plugs look good to…

there are 2 jets for either a dry kit or a wet kit. 1 is for nitrous and 1 is for fuel enrichment. get a bigger fuel jet.

You throw your AFC in the trash and look into Turboedit/Uberdata depending on your vehicles year.

this makes a whole lot of sense

I’ll explain. The AFC’s out there are basically worthless when you want to tune. To a certain extent they can do what you want. If you’re looking for advanced features like individual fuel maps to tune then don’t bother. You can edit point by point by point and much more with standalones.

Uberdata is a free standalone for OBD1 ECU’s (92-93 Integra)
TurboEdit is a free standalone for OBD0 ECU’s (90-91 Integra)

With either of those you can have a partial throttle fuel map and WOT fuel map to run off of which any AFC can’t do, hench the reason I told him to throw it in the trash. Sorry for jumping into it and telling you something like that. I just see a lot of people that try to do tuning with an AFC and blow their entire build to shit because of it’s limited “capabilities”

Hey, maybe it’s not too late?! I’m using a PLX M-300 for my wideband. I’m currently on Uberdata but am switching to Neptune. I hated Uberdata for the amount of problems and bugs it has packed in it. I’ve tried 3 different versions and all of them with different problems. I bought an Ostrich (real-time tuning instead of stopping and burning chips) which I could never use but only on V1.7 of Uberdata. With V1.7 I can’t edit fuel AND have it save at the same time… so like anything else free it has its ups and downs. But also like anything else there are ways around the bugs, and you will get a great tune out of it; It just takes some time getting used to doing a certain routine to edit things.

BOSS, he prob. has a stock LS with a 75 shot and bolt-ons. why would a rom editor be needed. I also have mooved onto AEM EMS from uberdata and the ostrich. and with uberdata, the right version dosn’t have bugs. the problem is finding it. I have found crome is much better than uberdata for obd1 cars. I was thinking of selling my ostrich but, other people are still using crome/uberdata/turboedit. It saves me soooo much time tunning them. anyways ZEX PLUGS SUCK. buy NGK bkr7-11’s.

EMPLOYEE, You’ve got to be kidding me… what’s the need for the attitude? I’m sorry but spending $300 on an AFC that doesn’t do shit when you can spend $15 on the chipping equipment you need that can do what a $1300 Hondata system can do is smart.

It’s funny how you can sit there and tell me that I haven’t had bugs with all of my experiences with Uberdata.

No attitude here, I have had plenty of problems with uberdata. When blake(the creator) lives in my area, it is fairly easy to get a good copy from him. I reccomended crome pro. very nice $150 NO BUGS.

Neptune for me.

so with the free standalone progrms now i would have to replace a chip in my ECU with once that is re-writable? and then have the program on my computer to change setting and burn it to a chip? then install in the ecu correct? im also OBD-0 should i need to goto OBD1 with a harness and 92-93 PR4 ecu, and connectors on dissy?

turboedit works on obd0 cars, just get your ecu chipped and have some street tunning done. raise your stock rev limit!!!
