Christopher Vang Missing (90_DA)

very sorry to hear this, my condolences to his friends and family. so sad.

I can’t believe this. I just emailed with Chris within the past 2 weeks. I pray for him and his family and hope for the best.

Holy shit! I didn’t even know it was him! I’m stunned…

Seriously a huge loss… I’m praying for you bud…

Very sad his last post here was to try and help another member understand a comment I posted on that members bumper cover.
Condolences, good fishing and wrenching where ever you might be.

Sorry to hear this :frowning:

Chris had bought my mugen kit for his blue XSi of me and later bought some bronze glass of His other XSi he was junking. This is horrible what has happened, I spoke with him not that long ago before this accident, crazy how life can be at times. My condolences to his family and friends.

This is horrible. He seemed like a really nice guy.

I’ve been a fan of his cars since he had a white DA9, before his multiple XSi DA6s. I’m still hoping for the best!

i don’t know what to say, you will be missed

I haven’t posted in here yet as me and Riley (dreadful) have been searching for him along the river. This has been the hardest 3 days of my life. Both physically beat from searching and emotionally because of such a horrible accident. Chris was a great friend I’ve know for a long time through my brother and his brother mike (both members here). We did our auto mechanics course for a whole year together and have been great friends since…

His passion for these cars was amazing. By far the most dedicated, knowledgable, and love for these cars out of anyone I know. But that’s just who he was and we all became better by it. I will keep this thread posted as I get more info from his brothers and family. I may be heading out on a boat today to continue to look for him.

Please to all, keep his family in your thoughts. Much love and support is needed.

I got chills from this one. I really held him high in our community. He has answered all my rediculous questions and did it with a smile everytime. Much love from over here.

Very horrible to hear. I feel very sad for his family.

Wow, I can’t believe this. Hoping this turns out ok…
I have exchanged many emails with him for years now.
Never met him, but feel like I have known him for years.

That is terrible news, I hope for the best.

Oh man, this is horrible, he seemed like a great guy. I’ve got him, his family, and friends in my thoughts

OMG, well I hope he is alright, but situations like that don’t end well. I’m sorry to hear this…

Heart breaking to hear and watch. Its not just another person, its somebody from our g2ic family that we lost. The thought of it makes me crumble inside. My condolences to the family and friends, he is in my hopes.

This still hurts to think about. I’ve never even met him, but I’ve been keeping his family and friends in my thoughts since I’ve heard about it. I, too, have been holding out hope for a positive outcome. After this amount of time, it would be nothing short of a miracle to hear of a safe return. It’s not impossible, but unlikely at this point. One of our fellow community members has been lost, and I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that he is going to be missed.

I will continue to keep Chris and his family/friends in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart goes out to his family and friends!

I didn’t know about this since I have not been on here lots. Paolo (Extreme98) called me and asked me if I knew. I came on here and checked out the news link. I’m just shocked and got chills like some of you have. I’ve met and known Chris for quite a while now. I’ve seen him at meets, ran into him many times in Abbotsford since I have friends there. I just don’t know what to say. Everytime that I’ve seen Chris, he’s always got a smile and encouraging me to get on the G2IC bandwagon again. I hope you’re safe bud! I will pray for you and your family and friends. It’s going to be so weird going to Abbotsford and driving around hoping to run into you to wave hello. I still wish I can do that.

I’ve been a member of G2IC since 2003. I’ve met many great people off here. A few guys are still my great friends. It saddens me that I’ve slipped away from the site and only have found out about bad news about a great member of our community.

Thoughts and prayers are with Chris and his family. He has always been a sincere and knowledgeable member. Hoping for the best

We should put a pic of his car on the main page for awhile as he will always be remembered
