ive put lots of stuff into it, lucas, seafoam, injector cleaner, fuel stabilizer, i eventually did a oil change to get all that stuff out.
damn, that is a bunch!! if you put all that in at once, maybe it would cause an o2 to fail due too how much you cleaned out, meaning it had to pass threw your exhaust. i ran some octane booster threw mine with 93 octane and i noticed it did seem to burn a lil oil while that was in the gas but after that tank, it ran fine, now the only thing i add is restore every time i change my oil, i got a b17 with 236k on it and i smoked a b16 teg last night by 2-3 cars, runnins like a champ, no major probs and ive owned the car for 2 years and it was owned by my girls dad b4 that, thank god he’s a honda master tech:)
Code 43 comes on do to an improper mixture; this is due to the o2 seeing to much or too little oxygen content. I would check the wiring on the o2 sensor, then replace sensor. I hope this helps.
HAS anyone fixed his problem yet?
my car just threw that code and i dont want my car to die on the road due this =[
I have just built an ls vtec and street tuned it. It is about 90% tuned. Any ways when I did the build I replaced the injectors, fuel rail, fuel pump, fuel filter, main relay. The tuner said that my o2 sensor could be bad. He told me that the one I got was crap (autozone uni 02 sensor, it’s a 4 wire one). He told me to go to Napa auto parts and get one made for the car. He said it should be about 30 bucks more than an oem one. He only said to get it if the light comes on. I have a hondata in my car so I’m sure it’s not my ecu either. The check engine light cam on while he was in the car but that was a different sensor dealing with my 02 sensor and it was something to do with the heat. He disabled it on my ecu and the light went away. He said if it comes on that it’s probably a bad o2. I am going to have to change out my o2 and see if that helps.
jea i have the same problem the light comes on after i hit 3500rpm , n the mechanic said its the o2 sensor , but i said it cant be if i changed it 2 weeks ago but i havent changed it
i had this problem and it turned out to be a bad injector o ring
has anyone resolve this problem yet? cause i have the same problem and it only came on when I started playing with the Fast Idle Control valve, but i haven’t changed the FIC valve yet so we’ll see.
anyways i think when this code comes on it could be a lot of things, it could be fuel system, vaccum leak, timing or anything that could make the fuel system run richer than usual,. but i’m no expert IDK
Mine was the o2 sensor… Sense my last post though I have new headers and no o2 sensor. Car runs like a champ. It was also tuned though…
replaced my fuel pump runs like champ now it might be weak pump maybe?
yeah that’s weird is was your fuel pump.
yea it was, i need to get mine tuned too lol
Yea I’m glad my motor is all done… Feels great not working on it and having it all finished for the most part.
