I was thinking about getting a cold air intake for my 90 teg, since I almost bought a K&N filter for my stock intake, and i started to wonder. Does it really work? I hear on auctions about increased gas mileage, a deeper throat sound and an 8-12 horsepower increase! Can anyone honestly say this is true? It seems like the way these intakes are designed, there are pulling air from the engine compartment, which is nothing but hot air. It would seem to suffocate the engine on its own hot air? anyone know where to buy a good one for a good price?
i just installed my iceman cold air intake 2 days ago… and i just love stepping on the pedal coz i would hear a deep sound from the intake sucking massive amount of air, and you know its good. gas mileage i dont know… it does not suck air from inside the hood coz it would totally go down right inside the wheel well and from there is an opening part of the front bumper… i would suggest getting one… AEM or ICEMAN…
