Ok so how many people would be intrested in a cooling plate for the teg… Id like to know befor i go broke making one lol its looking to be around 200
Don’t expect a lot of interest at that price, your expectations are a bit inflated, $125.00 - $150.00 and you may get some takers, in addition your work is unseen, has not been demonstrated or verified and you are not a retail or registered seller on this site.
well i could not do it for that price resen is 40 and the hardner is 25 and the miterial is not cheap i do great work buy the way i have done quite a few parts for a buddy of mines neon
if some one can find the fiber reasnable i may be able to do that… but i still would have to know how many people are intrested in the plates

i was looking at the prices on JDP and they charge $225 for the full carbon fiber down draft spoiler for the hatch and use alote more carbon than a cooling plate would.
well look on pass word jdm an see howe much cooling plates go for… and they buy it in bolk i ant fixing to drop 2 grand for something not many pep want

My question is you want us to pay for the molding, but say your going to make a cooling plate or a dash bezel and you make a molding … can you not reuse the same molding ??? and yes i agree with the 125- 150 for a cooling plate because if you are going to advertise your self for making something for the community you have to invest in your product because i dont think many people can make money out of nothing just my thoughts would really like to see these products soon maybe invest in some models to promote your self and invest in moldings form your personal parts
Yes the mold will be reuseable… And trust me i f i had any funds i would deff invest in doing so… (IF ANY ONE KNOWS WHERE TO GET CARBON FIBER CLOTH CHEAP I AM DEFF INTRESTED)

You need pictures of your work man, plain and simple. For people to spend $100-200 online, for a product that they haven’t seen, nor have they seen any of your previous work… That’s a lot to expect from customers man. Not only that, but if you’re wanting to go into business making these parts & selling them online, it would be very wise to document your work as you do it, with pictures, the amount it cost YOU to make it, and what you sold it for. Keeping a portfolio is a necessary part of any business that does this type of custom work… Having said that, custom work is just that… Custom. Sometimes you’re going to have to either 1) suck it up and spend the funds to make a part that may not be in high demand and hope to make money in the long run off of said part 2) decide to not make the part as it won’t yield the money you’re looking for.
I, for one, would be interested in seeing pictures of your work… I do fiberglass repair/production and enjoy seeing other peoples’ work.
As far as people asking about molds being reusable, yes they are… Once you get the part (Cooling Plate, Spoiler, etc) you make a mold of it. Once the mold is made you wax it (so the Carbon or Fiberglass doesnt stick), lay down the material… then pull it out once its hard. The mold itself can be reused basically forever, as long as it it cleaned/waxed/maintained properly.
well I am going to start on the cooling plate here soon… yes I do keep track of every thing and I will take pics and and post them… Ill be starting on the first one and it will be made out of fiberglass but soon after I finish ill be poping out the carbon ones… The price will be about 160 for the finished product… I am in the mid of doing a rhd swap and been really busy with my month oold lil one

I stareted on the cooling plate to day made quite a bit of progress… but as i finished the mold of the top of the rad suport i got to thinking… on the rad suport there are some lines and hash marks would u want these in the finished part are would u like it simple and smothe… now if i mold it to the top of the rad suport with the gruves and hash marks in it it proly woulld not be a good thing for the guys who have had a car that has ben wrecked and would like this part to fit… i could do it simple and sweet with a flat pice then finishe the cooling plate like i planed

u should start your own website! it’s like 5 bucks a month. carbon fiber hoods, hatches, and spoilers would be the most popular buys. when u got the money u should build a all carbon fiber da that would be sick!
bleve it are not i am working on da quarter panels and doors so yeah i amm ahead of ya on that i just dont have the cash right now to fund it u know
id really like to see some carbon fiber strut tower covers since my strut towers are cut out how much would u charge me? some carbon fiber mugen replica skirts would be cool too.
