Ok, im just trying to compare here – How many of you have had it done, what kind of boost are you running, and how much did it cost you to sleeve your block. I was quoted $995 and 6-8 weeks at EIP Tuning (the place I get most of my stuff done). Also, what are your opinions on the different turbo kits – Im looking at fmax, but what about drag and rev hard ? Just want some input on the subject cause im trying to decide which turbo to get. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Scott - whats up man… if your thinking of sleeving your block, i’d send it to golden eagle mfg… that’s where i sent mine to and imho i think they have the best desing. i think i paid around $750 to get it sleeved and i paid $50 shipping each way… www.goldeneaglemfg.com is the website, you should check it out… anyways, i plan on running 10psi on the street and up to 22psi at the track. my car isnt complete yet…give me anouther month or two and ill give you an update…but by then youll prob. have youre block sleeved! evan

thanks for the advice, but I doubt Ill have my block dropped, and shipped to ca and back in the next month. I checked out their site and it seems like a great design. Out of curiousity, what turbo are you running ? My g2 will not be turbo’d to my liking until about 3-4 months from now. I want to do it right, and unlike most people in maryland, mommy and daddy dont pay for mine. Good luck with your setup when its finally done, post some slips

well I think the wait is a little longer than a month now only because it is race season (anywhere around this time will be a longer wait)…if your car is the daily commuter i would recommend buying anouther block and getting that one built up only so there is not alot of down time. my teg was the daily driver but now it is its own project in itself… i am doing a t3/t4e custom turbo setup, expecting about 350hp+ hopefully…that is my goal with proper tuning…again I am in PA, right by Maryland? the cost in shipping is around the same…and no mommy and daddy arent paying for anything, why would they?
