Had some good weather so yesterday I finally finished the wheels.
Also, my rear suspension sits SO high. Need to figure that one out. Like, is it because KYB loaded struts are just bad? Or are the struts on backwards? Or is it because the bolts need to be torqued with the suspension loaded? Idk man
arent there multiple places to mount the strut making the car lower or higher? or maybe that was just the koni yellows someone gave me
I think the koni’s have different spots you can lock the lower collar into, but these are just kyb stock replacements as far as I know.
On the yellows there are 3 spots you can move the metal circlip to
oh ok, its been awhile since we put them on
about to drain and fill the radiator and gonna flush it out with water in between. since i keep getting black sticky build up inside my coolant reservoir. also the thermostat gasket was like twice the size of the new one it mustve expanded or something
…do you get bubbles in your overflow when the car is running?
not when the car is just running. but yeah when the radiator cap opens up it like boils over into my reservoir all bubbly maybe its just rolling boil. I thought its getting build up in the reservoir because I mixed coolants and I think they are reacting weird so i wanted to flush the coolant
I’m wondering if you have a head gasket leak and you’re getting combustion into your cooling jackets.
i hope not. it runs great except you have to warm it up in the morning but that should be the idle air valve… it does slowly lose coolant but i thought it was leaking out of the top of the reservoir bottle… i should do a head gasket test with the little bottle of liquid that turns blue or whatever
except i broke the freakin coolant temp sensor wire… my wires are so old and brittle they dont even bend around they just crack the insulation..
i was able to shove a back probe in the connector and clamp it to the broken wire… hopefully the one pin connectors are easy to find
I think it’s a bullet connector, advance sells them. But they come in different sizes. I need to find a male and female to wire my reverse light switch.
oh yeah thats its. found this site where they were talking about it and they gave some options to buy B series - 1 pin/stud water temp sensor plug - Honda-Tech - Honda Forum Discussion
Nice, I need to go measure the ones on my switch and see what size they are. Probably 4mm as well but it’s worth checking
my cig lighter is loose and doesnt really work i wish it was easier to get to the wiring back there in the da9
