will a b18a distributor work with the b16a1 head?
i know the b16a1 is non obd, and if i go LSVTEC i’ll need to be obd1 for my setup.
would i have to get a b16a2 distributor thats obd1?
or maybe a b17a, or 3g GSR distributor??
just needing some knowledge here so when i get to that point, i’ll be able to do the right thing.

use ur existing b18a dist. and chop off the leg thats closest to the vtec solenoid cuz it gets in the way. read the the TEG TIPS in swapping motors. they discuss the same principle but in better terms
u can cut of the leg and use ur ls distributor, but it will leak like hell because only the top bolt will bolt on.

Leaking is very unlikely. Since I have owned my Integra I have never used the most forward bolt since it is difficult to get to sometimes and have never leaked oil from there. Especially on VTEC motors.
Heh… same here. Only the top bolt to hold the distributor in, never leaked.

i dont think it’d leak cuz it utilizes an “o” ring to seal.
