man what about the headlights they are so fresh…
what? they are just jdm one-pieces…
I’m gonna do this again hopefully this weekend.
FYI
I could never get the hose to fit into the other hose that was removed, so I removed the LEFT hose from the transmission (INSTEAD OF THE RIGHT ONE AS STATED IN THE FIRST POST) and attached the clear vinyl hose to that output. The right hose is still attached.
The only bad thing about this is that the fluid in the transmission cooler (i.e. radiator) won’t get flushed, but I found this to be easier and less messy.
I’m also pretty freaking sick of the hose clamps on these transmission cooler hoses, and I’m going to replace them with regular hose clamps – the ones used for water coolant. That way I don’t have to worry about these things getting bent or tight.
I was wondering.:read:
I want to attach a hose to the male connector of the transmission return hose, and I want to have the other end of that hose going into a gallon size container of fresh fluid. I would also have the line bled so no air gets into the transmission.
Will the transmission directly suck in the new fluid as the old drains out into the other container? Or will I have to manually pour it in?
I Want to try this. My auto has 188000 miles and the fluid is starting to smell bad. The transmission could also shift a little smoother even though it shifts pretty good still. I want to directly replace the old fluid with Genuine Honda ATF. I want to make sure very little air gets in the transmission parts.
Has anyone else tried this?
Any updated tips to this article?
I cant seem to find the o2 sensor the article mentions I have to remove.
I plan on going to Colorado later this year and the DA would be awesome in the mountains. Just have to do my Maintainence first.
