DIY Camber correction...washer trick anyone? help.....

well i did the washer trick w/ 2 washers for each hole ( 4 washers a wheel ) anyway…did anyone else do this/ i cant tell if it corrected it all the way. i dont think it did. my setup is currently tokico shocks on progress sport springs, so hopefully someone close to that setup can help me.

so did you guys put your washers behind the plate ( so it would go bolt, plate, washers, car ) or did you put them on the bolt and then screw it in ( so it would go bolt through washers, through plate, into car ) ?? im sure some of you have done this, just thought i’d help others, and meanwhile answer some of my questions. thanks. later.

it goes washer against the inside of the fender…then the plate from the suspension then the bolt thru all that.
the whole point of the washer’s is to push the top of the suspension out in turn moving the top of the tire out.

Hope this all makes sense

There are some camber correction products that are simply a kit that includes washers and a new (maybe longer) bolt. The are made to only correct fractions of a degree though. If this is all you need corrected, then the washer thing should be fine. But if you’re way out there a good kit with an alignment job would be your best bet.

It adjusts more than a fraction of a degree…I have done this on 2 of my cars and it put it back to stock

my school has an alignment machine i will post results as soon as i can. i have nuespeed race 2" drop i went out and bought 8 5/16 washers. on the alignment machine i was -2 degrees in the frt and -2.4 degrees in the back. SPEC: 0 degrees +/- 1 degree frt. and back is -.6 +/- 1 degee in the back.
