If not would they be easy to swap into usdm g2. I see considerable weight savings in getting rid of all those motors and the contol box. Also what are you guys w/ aftermarket seats doing for seatbelts?
only in the u.s. do g2’s have automatic seatbelts.
As a proud owner of a JDM Teg I can thankfully say, “NO” we don’t have auto seat belts. I cannot understand why any car would need or have auto seat belts. Long live manual seat belts:)
hey in california we get 5 bucks off our insurance a month for autoseatbelts. then you just swapthem for sparcos

Can anyone show me a picture of JDM or europeon or austrailian seatbelts?i am trying to find everything that is needed to be changed for the registration of a JDM integra in the US

yellaboi, are you planin on puttin JDM seats in your car and using a harness or are you planin on using the automatic seat belts? i put in jdm seats this past weekend and used USDM rails but you have to modify them a bit
blizzard does not have it done, i remember he was planning on doing it though…
idea i have is if u gutted the rear seats, and everything for them… im not certain, but u may be able to use the rear seat belts, im going to try it when i get a hold of some seat belts again…

There’s hope!! 3 point seat belts CAN BE retrofitted to U.S. specs cars
Hi to all,
I have found Canadian spec Integras had the regular 3-point front seat belts - just like the rest of the world. Motorized belts were not a Honda occurrence but a burocratic US federal requirement all auto manufacturers had to deal with if the vehicle had no air bags. Only air bag equipped vehicles were allowed with normal seat belts back then.
Anyway, I have called a couple of Canadian Acura dealers and found they do sell the complete set at just about under US$200 per seat. I haven’t inquired about the B pillar trim and the trim pieces over the front doors though, but I figure they shouldn’t be a big deal.
I did an exploratory disassembly removing the B pillar trim and loosening part of the motorized assembly to check if the anchoring nut for the regular seat belt was there - and alas - it was. I believe it should be a very straightforward and smooth retrofit.
I have also disabled the belt motors by removing the fuses in the engine compartment. I still wear them so it’s a two step proposition to buckle and unbuckle.
This is the info I’ve got:
talked to Manuel Trujillo (nice fellow) at Crown Acura, Winnipeg, Manitoba (204) 269-9692
Driver’s side Assy. 81800-SK8-C02ZA Graphite Black $314.18 CAN
Passenger side Assy. 81400-SK8-C02ZA Graphite Black $278.18 CAN
Graphite black is of course the color for my car, so you should take that into account if you ever decide to order them.
I hope this helps and would appreciate any info or comments from anyone attempting to tackle this transformation. I have put the project on hold for the time being since winter is already here in New Hampshire and I don’t have a garage. Perhaps sometime next spring or Summer I will do it.

i believe that Tri (Vtec-da9) has converted his usdm teg to manual belts.
$200 a set?!
How about you just buy some Sparco (or similar reputable brand) 3" strap, 3-point (OEM Style) belts for about $100. The only thing left to finish off the job as far as buying things, would be to get the A-pillar trim piece.
I wouldn’t suggest using anything more than 3-point in a daily driver because it is dangerous in case of a rollover.

Ummmmm, then explain why the lower model tegs don’t have either airbags or auto belts. Neither do the Accords of these years. the EX is the only model with auto belts, but I don’t think any of them have airbags. I’m not positive about the 92-93 models, but I’m positive about the 90-91s.
Well, if you want a little history, Mercedes came out first with the airbag in 1981:

The Federal Government loved it but could not make it mandatory since its cost was prohibitive at the time. They did make it mandatory eventually, setting a deadline of a few years down the road. I do not know exactly when, but what I’m saying is correct: manufacturers at some point (late 80’s early 90’s) had the choice of either airbag (driver side only at first) or our “beloved” motorized belts. Have you ever seen a car with both? I doubt it.
OTH, this or any law, may usually come into effect at a given month and year, so it does not necessarily go by model year. Also, manufacturers may choose to comply with the requirement (s) before the deadline.

I agree US$200 may not be the bargain of the year but they are OEM and come even color matched to the interior.
Would anybody know if they can be purchased used in Canada?
Where can I look at 3-point OEM style Sparcos? I can only find harnesses.:search:
