Dont hollow your cat (not your kitty dummy)

well here is my story…

I ran 16.2 with stock cat, took it off put test pipe on no other mods besides my exhaust and intake (which I had with the stock cat) well once the test pipe was on I ran a 15.6

Need 0-60’ Times
1/8th mile time
1/8th mile trap speed
1/4 mile trap speed.

I call BS until I see some paperwork

lol I dont keep my time slips, but why would I lie about that? my integra has been broke down for 6 months now. and the slips were from last year.

i remember my trap speeds tho…

16.2 @ 86
15.6 @ 89

I know both 60’ were in the 2.4’s

Did you replace your stock 10+ year old cat with a new test pipe?

Judging that your trap speeds were about equal, I’m going to say the only thing that helped you was a better launch and probably better shifts.

there is a guy at my job with a flowmaster on his focus

Well I just bought another 92 teg and the dude did a 99 teg motor swap in it and he didnt put in the O2 sensor and the check engine light is on and i’ve had a couple people tell me that the fumes smell and hearing u all talk about the cat im wondering if mines not hollowed and also i need to kno if the O2 sensor not being hooked up would that cause me to lose so many miles to the gallon? all my other tegs have done over 300 miles on a full tank and this one only gets 200 or 220 at the most even if i drive like i have sense. what do you all think it is??

02 sensor

get a high fow cat off of ebay with an o2 sensor plug hole in it and get your 02 sensor back in there…Cuz it’s reading your vitals outside the car or unplugged…saves gas too…or maybe you got some bulllsh*t bosch spark plugs…that’ll do it too…

i like bosch spark plugs…

i have a 92-93 fullexhaust set up on my 1990…and it was too long so the muffler tip sticks out crooked and leaning against the bumper basically…im sure if i got a shorter cat(90-91) it wuld pull the exhaust back some more and the muffler(axleback style) tip part wuld b lined up stragght?

i have a set of egay 4-2-1 headers, egay “high flow” cat and a custom 2.5" catback with a flowmaster 30 on my 92 rs, it sounds alright but i have 210K on my motor with almost no rings or valves left, and each cylinder has a differant amount of compression thanks to the rings but thats what happens when u get a car from some dumbass that doesn’t know how to drive, his brother managed to bend every valve on his H23 prelude with less than 200 on a fresh rebuild

of course hollowing out ur cat will increase airflow/horsepower duh just make sure ur state doesnt use emission tests cuz ull definently fail
