Ok heres my problem, when I open my door from the outside the handle doesn’t come back down once I open the door. so when I close the door it doesn’t close it just bangs an doesn’t close, know what Im saying here?
the door handle doesn’t return back down it stays stuck up! what is causing this. Do I have to remove the door panel from the inside. or do I have to pry the handle out from the outside? I’m been looking at the helms abit but it’s not making sense… or maybe I need some sleep.
I think your return spring for the handle has broken…and yes, you will have to remove the trim. its shouldnt be to hard but.Or maybe the linkage that goes down to the latch mechanism has seized so when you go to open the door, the latch remains in the open position…:shy: my 2c…
This happens to me to but only when it’s cold. Problem - Winter:D Even when the handle is down it sometimes takes 10-15 attempts at closing the door if I washed the car the day before. Now I just leave the door open a crack and turn up the heat to thaw things out. Have you tried lubricating any of the parts?
It’s easier said then done when it’s -10 outside plus I’d like to know on hand an call the dealer for parts to see if they have it in stock before I start ripping stuff apart.
